Holpen Barns retains as many features of the original buildings as possible. With stunning views over the rolling farmland down to the sea or out onto the moors, you cannot fail to sit back, relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity the farm has to offer. Unless of course you want to explore the farm with over 200 acres of land, 32 of which are woodland that you are free to enjoy. The 16 acres of 'Site of Special Scientific Interest' (SSSI) land has water vole and many rare plants to see.
Situated between Whitby to the north and Scarborough to the south you are in the ideal location for exploring the surrounding moors and coast. Beaches to enjoy at Whitby (don't forget to book the beach hut if you plan to spend some time there), Sandsend, Robin Hoods Bay and many others along this beautiful coast line. Plenty of walking as we are close to the end of the Coast to Coast walk at Robin Hoods Bay, the Cleveland Way and only a few hundred yards from the stunning North Yorkshire moors - Fylingdales moor. Dalby Forests' cycle tracks are just a 30 minute drive away and sailing at Scaling Dam and many more activities are close at hand. Sightseeing at York is a must with its many attractions, not to mention the shops. Many charming villages and towns are within easy reach including Helmsley, Hutton-le-Hole, Danby, Robin Hood's Bay to name a few.
The village of Fylingthorpe is two miles away with a shop, post office and pub.
